TAKE ACTION TO SUPPORT THE UNIST'OT'EN CLAN AND WET'SUWET'EN HEREDITARY CHIEFS

December 16, 2018

URGENT: This just in from the Unist'ot'en Camp (facebook):

In an outrageous display of colonial arrogance Justice Marguerite Church has ruled that TransCanada/ Coastal GasLink can start site work preparation for its fracked gas pipeline on Unist’ot’en/ Wet’suwet’en territory as early as this Monday (Dec. 17).

Church also ruled today (Friday) that the checkpoint gate on the Wedzin Kwah (Morice River) Bridge must come down within 72 hours. That will be 3:30 pm Dec. 17.

This interim injunction against the Unist’ot’en will remain in force until a judgement is rendered on a interlocutary injunction (a further interim measure); a date for that hearing is to take place no later than May 1, 2019.

The Unist’ot’en can serve an application response by January 31, 2019. To assist with legal costs please donate: http://unistoten.camp/support-us/donate/
