Event: Storytelling with Direct Action
EDGE at PHL Assembled's On Climate Change event at the Philadelphia Art Museum Perelman building for a short workshop on using direct action to tell the story of your campaign. We explored the use of art, street theater, and strategic media to build the most leverage at your chosen points of intervention. Whether you're brand new to direct action and want support to get started or have years of experience and just want a fresh new take, this workshop was for you! We also helped you build your toolbox for security culture and community safety with a brief rundown.
Thank you Philadelphia Bail Fund who joined us during the presentation. A person who cannot afford to pay bail will be detained for an average of 101 days before their case is heard.~That's over three months of imprisonment for the crime of being too poor.
