From Lancaster Against Pipelines (We Are Lancaster County):
We have kids and lives and jobs. But protecting our home is vital to us. So we're out in West Hempfield Township to stop a pipeline because our politicians, regulatory agencies and courts abandoned their constituents. We tried all their suggestions for stopping this pipeline. All we have left is civil disobedience. We're not afraid to say that this project is detrimental to our health and wrong. We're Lancastrians. We do the right thing.
Background on Atlantic Sunrise Pipeline:
After one week, this is what Williams Corporation has done to the Sister's property.
Please join us to call for Attorney General Josh Shapiro to issue an injunction to stop construction until the Sisters' case against FERC is heard. To the Sisters', this pipeline is a violation of their deeply held religious beliefs. Tell AG Josh Shapiro it's time to send Williams home.
